RTMP or SRT: which one should you use?
RTMP is the most widely supported protocol. Almost every encoder, from OBS to hardware boxes, can send it, and it is a safe default on a stable wired connection.
SRT was designed for the public internet. It recovers lost packets and handles jitter, so it is the better choice on venue Wi-Fi, mobile connections or long distances. Enchant supports SRT with a stream ID and passphrase, so the feed is encrypted on its way to us.

Works with the tools you already use
OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast, ATEM Mini Pro, hardware encoders and cloud production tools can all send RTMP, and most modern encoders support SRT as well. No plugins, no special hardware.
